Description
This Whistlejacket Tea Towel is 100% cotton and features the stunning Whistlejacket image originally painted by George Stubbs.
Whistlejacket, the famous racehorse, was foaled in 1749. His most renowned victory was a four mile race at York in August 1759 for 2000 guineas. Stubbs created his masterpiece in oils in about 1762 for the 2nd Marquess of Rockingham, Whistlejacket's owner, and it currently hangs in the National Gallery in London.
This lovely tea towel captures the artistic brilliance of the original painting in fine style. A sure-fire winner of a gift for a sophisticated lover of horses who needs some inspiration when drying up!
